Front Porch
After submitting something today, I received the following via email:
"The Front Porch is no longer accepting submissions, as we're wrapping up our operation over the next few months. Thank you."
According to their website, the Front Porch syndicate "the newspaper supplement that celebrates everyday American life." They publish nonfiction pieces on a variety of topics and pay ranges from $25 to $75. This is a good place for short, humorous anecdotes and submissions are only accepted through their online form. Submit or read guidelines.
